Happy Hump Day!
Today's writing prompt: You find a hand-written note on your windshield that says, “Drive west for 100 miles.” At first I think it's a parking ticket but then I realize it's only a note. But that has me more concerned. Did someone hit my car? But the note simply reads "Drive west for 100 miles." Some sort of weird prank by a teen, no doubt. I crumple up the note and toss it to the ground. When I get home, however, I realize my wife isn't there. It's odd, but not completely out of the ordinary so I pay it no mind. Until I see her name pop up on the caller ID on my cell phone. "You should have listened to the note" a deep voice says on the other end with my wife screaming in the background. The call dies and all of my calls back go straight to voicemail. Leave yours in the comments below! |
