Happy Hump Day!
Today's writing prompt:
You find a hand-written note on your windshield that says, “Drive west for 100 miles.”
At first I think it's a parking ticket but then I realize it's only a note. But that has me more concerned. Did someone hit my car? But the note simply reads "Drive west for 100 miles." Some sort of weird prank by a teen, no doubt. I crumple up the note and toss it to the ground. When I get home, however, I realize my wife isn't there. It's odd, but not completely out of the ordinary so I pay it no mind. Until I see her name pop up on the caller ID on my cell phone. "You should have listened to the note" a deep voice says on the other end with my wife screaming in the background. The call dies and all of my calls back go straight to voicemail.
