**Warning, this post contains spoilers for To the Wolves** When we last left Ethan McCormick, he had just resigned his position at the Miami Police Department and opted for a life as a private investigator. With the department's decision to cover up his superior's involvement in the death of his fiance and the attempted homicide of over one hundred civilians, Ethan had lost faith in the system. Caroline West, the woman he had mistakenly dragged into the conspiracy with him, went back home. Feeling that some sort of relationship might be there, whether it be romantic or merely friendship, Ethan reached out to her in the end.
The next Ethan novel picks up a year later. He is now focused on his career as a private investigator. He falls into the biggest case he's had since his start. The case, which involves a missing child, is also being investigated by a detective within the department who is not keen on sharing information with an "outsider." Having been hired by the parents of the missing boy, Ethan wants to do everything in his power to close the case but finds it near impossible without the authority the badge had once offered him. I won't go into much more detail than that. I thought it would be fun to give you a little insight into Ethan's future. This book will be darker than the first and include a nemesis more dangerous and vile than Ethan has faced. I hope I have left you with a few unanswered questions that are burning in your thoughts such as, what happened with Caroline and Ethan? Did they end up together? How has Ethan adjusted to life outside of the police force and has he been dealing with any new fame since his time as a wanted man? When the next novel comes out, I hope to leave you with all of those questions answered and, hopefully, with more! In the next few months, I will be announcing the name of the new novel and should hopefully be giving a release date as well. Stay tuned, follow this blog for more info, and subscribe to my newsletter if you want to be among the first to read the title and see the book cover! Let me know in the comments what you think of Ethan's future and what questions you hope to see answered. As always, thanks for reading!
