Today, I have some bad news to share with you all. I've decided to scrap my blog series. That's right, the upcoming horror blog series Chiller Chronicles will not be premiering in October as previously promised because I am no longer working on the blog. If you were excited for the blog, I am sorry. However, I do have a good news to share with you so keep reading.
The reason I've scrapped the blog series is because I've got something much better in the works. While writing the stories for my blog series, I began to realize it wasn't suited for a blog. It was better suited for a podcast! That's right, Chiller Chronicles is going to be a podcast instead of a blog series!
It's going to be a fun show. You're going to love it. Here's how it's going to work. You will be fully immersed into the story as I narrate you around an old mansion in the middle of the woods. As you explore the old, creaky house, you will find doors which beg to be opened. Once inside the room, you will be greeted with memorabilia and items foreshadowing the story to come. Each room will contain an audio device which will play the stories called Chiller Chronicles. And when the story is done, I will narrate you out of the room and on to your next room and story. So, you see, it's a story within a story. I'm very excited about this concept and if you like unexplained mysteries, unsolved murders, terrifying encounters, and audio dramas then this podcast is perfect for you. Each season will feature a new location to explore. Season 1 is The House. I don't have a release date for you yet. I'm currently writing and producing episode one as a tester. A pilot episode, if you will. I have a couple people I will be sharing the first episode with for feedback. If you're interested, let me know. Either comment below of email me at BooksbyBond@gmail.com.
Of course, producing a podcast can be a lot of work and there's a little money involved so insert obligatory Patreon promotion here. You can help support the show and get it off the ground faster by supporting me over on Patreon. And if that's not enough to sign up, how about this? Chiller Chronicles will still be posted as a blog series exclusively on my Patreon page! When the podcast episode airs, the text version will be posted to Patreon as well. But I have one more surprise. I will also be adapting Chiller Chronicles as a book series. And, supporters on Patreon will get that book free. Each new book which comes out in the series will be free to Patrons of all tiers! This is my biggest project yet and I am very excited for it. I would be thankful for any help you can give.
Look forward to the Chiller Chronicles Podcast, coming soon! I'll give you more details as I get them. Until then, keep wandering. Just not alone.
Horror is a fun genre to write and read. It's captivating and terrifying, tapping in to our inner most fears. That surge of adrenaline you feel with watching a horror movie and going to a horror themed amusement park makes you feel more alive. There's something primal about fear that makes some people enjoy it. But what happens when the illusions are taken away? What happens when the stories being told aren't stories at all?
I'm developing a blog series I'm calling Chiller Chronicles. It's a series about true unsolved, unexplained, and terrifying mysteries and encounters. Told in a fiction style, these stories are anything but. Be prepared to read some chilling tales which you might have wished you hadn't.
Above you can see the banner that I created for the series. I'd love to get your thoughts. I designed it myself in Photoshop and I'm pretty proud of that fact. There isn't an exact date for when I'll be premiering this new blog series but I'll be sure to give you more info in the future. For now, you'll have to be satisfied by this teaser:
It had gone viral only a few days before and the images were creepy, to say the least. He remembered seeing Elisa in this very elevator. She seemed agitated and in some sort of altered state. Mania was the closest word he could describe. Her erratic hand gestures and sudden movements were unsettling. Like a woman possessed by a demonic being, she would throw around her hands wildly or step in and out of the elevator.
I hope you're excited for this new blog series. I know I am. And that's not all. I plan to make this into a YouTube series in the future. But all of that is to come. I'll let you know more as it happens. I do know each installment will premiere on my Patreon page first. If you want to be the first to read each story, head over to Patreon.com/EvanBondAuthor to become a patron. Until then, thanks for being a supporter and I look forward to scaring you later.
I am a self-published horror/thriller author. I love reading, writing, and taking long walks through scary parts of the forest. I'm learning new tricks everyday to become a better author and occasionally will share those tips with you. Otherwise, you can read book reviews, info about my writing, and personal stories about my adventures in nature.
