ETHAN MCCORMICK SERIES
SUMMARY
Ethan McCormick is a Miami Police officer turned private detective after uncovering a terrible conspiracy within the force.
AUTHOR'S NOTE
"What's with the badge number?"
Ethan McCormick is a character that's been in my head since I was a teenager. He got his start during a class project in my English class. Ms. Thompson (first name Renee and inspiration for Renee Walker in Death Can Wait) gave an assignment for us to write a fairy tale. Naturally, I asked if I could write a crime thriller instead to which said yes but I'm sure thought I was stupid for not knowing what a fairy tale was, clearly.
So, I chose to write a short story about a man named Ethan McCormick who worked for the Miami Police Department. His sister was taken hostage by a crazed gunman out for revenge. Ethan takes matters into his own hands to save his sister.
I remember Ms. Thompson giving me kudos for the story and really sparked my interest in writing even more. Little did I know, it would only take me ten more years to finally finish my first book, To the Wolves. I published the book the same year I got married to my wife in 2015. Which, in hindsight, was a terrible idea. I was so busy! I barely remember releasing the book.
Fun fact, the badge number in the wolf's mouth is a reference to my wife. We starting dating on April 10th, so I wanted to put something fun in there to commemorate that. Which, now thinking on it, seems like I'm making a strange statement having it in the wolf's mouth...hmmm
